Can a Boat Broker Make a Difference?

Recently I made the decision to act on my desire to help those who are less fortunate than I am. I began looking into charity organizations and trying to find the best way I can make a positive impact in our world. In a surprising coincidence, a day after this decision I received a call to Boat Source from The Children’s Wish Foundation of Canada.
They were seeking information for a child’s wish which is to own a boat the family can take out during the day to fish, water ski and just have a general good time. This was obviously an ideal opportunity to start being a better person so I’ve been doing what I can to make this wish happen. One of the things I am doing, or should I say done, is writing in our Blog to see if we can generate other options or create a little more awareness for this Foundation.
What the family is looking for is a bowrider that will take up to 7 or 8 people max for trips on a local lake. They also need a trailer to transport it. One obstacle is that the Foundation is unable to fund wishes that involve a motor/engine. Fortunately the family has their own 125 HP Merc outboard so we are looking for something that will work with it.
We have made some quick headway and found a possibility through a Canadian builder that seems very eager to help out with a 17′ bowrider. We will post a follow up as we progress.
If you have any suggestions on making this wish happen or would like to know more about this great Canadian organization you can visit their website at http://www.childrenswish.ca/
Another quick way to make a difference which takes only a minute or two a day and a few mouse clicks is: The Hunger Site at http://www.thehungersite.com/
