It has been a very hectic month or more with a recent move and trip. Some of clients were ‘lucky’ enough to call during our phone transfer (which took 3 days) to receive a not in service ring. Others were berated by a family who were unknowingly taking Boat Source calls for at least a day due to the phone companies incompetence. One of the family members reported hundreds of calls to one of our clients.
With that in mind, we would like to take this opportunity to let our clients and callers know that, yes, we are still around and in business.
With the move and time out of town we are backlogged by at least a month. If you have not heard from us, please accept our apologies and try again. The most persistent are getting our attention as we try to maintain daily operations and plod through the pile of work.
Obviously the blog updates have suffered as well. So, please keep watch as we have an activity update on our TODO list. Several vessels have sold in the last month or two. As usual much of them crew boats. Activity remains high with vessels coming up for sale and those being sold.

Recently I made the decision to act on my desire to help those who are less fortunate than I am. I began looking into charity organizations and trying to find the best way I can make a positive impact in our world. In a surprising coincidence, a day after this decision I received a call to Boat Source from The Children’s Wish Foundation of Canada.
They were seeking information for a child’s wish which is to own a boat the family can take out during the day to fish, water ski and just have a general good time. This was obviously an ideal opportunity to start being a better person so I’ve been doing what I can to make this wish happen. One of the things I am doing, or should I say done, is writing in our Blog to see if we can generate other options or create a little more awareness for this Foundation.
What the family is looking for is a bowrider that will take up to 7 or 8 people max for trips on a local lake. They also need a trailer to transport it. One obstacle is that the Foundation is unable to fund wishes that involve a motor/engine. Fortunately the family has their own 125 HP Merc outboard so we are looking for something that will work with it.
We have made some quick headway and found a possibility through a Canadian builder that seems very eager to help out with a 17′ bowrider. We will post a follow up as we progress.
If you have any suggestions on making this wish happen or would like to know more about this great Canadian organization you can visit their website at http://www.childrenswish.ca/
Another quick way to make a difference which takes only a minute or two a day and a few mouse clicks is: The Hunger Site at http://www.thehungersite.com/

Boat Source International Marine Brokerage is proud to officially announce our first step into the world of Blogging.
In an effort to keep our clients, visitors and associates informed we have opted to use a Blog instead of announcing our news with old-fashioned HTML editing as seen on our main site. Being new to the Blog World and this software: WordPress, we expect some changes and possible growing pains. So please bear with us. We appreciate any feedback and comments you may have.
In the meantime, please bookmark this page and check in from time to time for future news, sales and listing reports, general posts about boating and the maritime industry and probably an off topic note here and there.
